Police scramble to Glasgow's King's Park amid 'disturbance' as probe is launched

Police and ambulance crews raced to a Glasgow park after reports of a 'disturbance' in the area.

Emergency crews scrambled to King's Park, in the south side of the city, on Friday afternoon.

Eyewitnesses told our sister title, Glasgow Live, that the park was cordoned off with several officers patrolling the scene.

Police confirmed their attendance at the incident and that an investigation is underway.

It is not known if anyone has been injured.

Enquiries are ongoing.

A spokesperson said: "We received a report of a disturbance at Kings Park in Glasgow shortly after 3.35pm on Friday, February 12.

"Enquiries are ongoing and at an early stage."
