Police are searching a forest after a 21-year-old was reported missing yesterday.
Britany Wheldon, from Malton, is described as white, slim with long and straight blond hair.
She was last seen wearing grey leggings, a white and black jumper, and possibly a high-vis jacket, at around 9.30am in Allerston, near PIckering in North Yorkshire on Sunday.
Her family contacted the police at 4..30pm after becoming concerned.
North Yorkshire Police, supported by mountain rescue volunteers, are currently searching Dalby Forest, Yorkshire Live reports.
A police helicopter has joined them, searching for the missing woman from above.
Britany's mum, Angela, has shared an emotional appeal, asking for people to help her bring a "beautiful, caring young lady home".
It read: "Britany has been missing since 10am yesterday.
"Car last seen in the village of Allerston on the A170 between Pickering and Scarborough possibly in Dalby or could be further a field.
"Any possible sightings please message myself or North Yorkshire Police. To bring this beautiful caring young lady home.
"She is described as white, slim, with long and straight blonde hair."
Police say she was wearing grey leggings, a white and black jumper, possibly a hi-viz riding top, and a pale pink body warmer with a hood on the morning of her disappearance.
Britany was last seen around 9.30am in the Allerston area near Pickering in North Yorkshire.
Britany's car, a black Kia Picanto, has been found nearby.
Anyone with information or people who've seen Britany are asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1, and speak to the Force Control Room.
