Police Scotland Youth Volunteers are honoured at awards ceremony

Police Scotland Youth Volunteers West Lothian attended the National PSYV Awards ceremony recently at the Scottish Police College Tulliallan where they were rewarded for their dedication, commitment and hard work.

Senior Youth Volunteer Megan Rees of West Calder High won the East of Scotland Regional Commitment award. Megan has completed more than 150 hours volunteering in her community over the last year.

Head Youth Volunteer Kieran Hopkins of Bathgate Academy completed more than 200 hours volunteering with PSYV last year and this was recognised with Kieran being awarded the East of Scotland Region and National Youth Volunteer of the Year accolade.

PSYV West Lothian as a group were also successful on the night winning the East of Scotland region Group of the year. The volunteers were thrilled to receive their awards from senior officers and Officer Karen from Scot Squad, Karen Bartke.
