Police Scotland want you to name their latest horse recruit

Police Scotland are asking for the public's help in naming their latest horse recruit.

The force shared a snap of the currently untitled 'big friendly giant', who at five years old is needing a new name.

Describing the long-faced, four-legged officer, Police Scotland say: "Can you help us name our newest recruit?

"He is a 17.3hh five year old gelding who's a big friendly giant that loves lots of attention and the odd carrot.

"Since starting his four week trial with us in June, he has taken everything in his stride and is now ready to get out and help keep our communities safe."

The force have provided three naming options - all place names in Scotland - Dyce, Inverurie and Livingston.

What do you reckon, Glasgow? Can you come up with a better one? Let us know in the comments.
