Police Scotland issue Rangers and Slavia tunnel fight claim response with 'no criminality' update

Police Scotland insists "no reports of criminality" have been made in the wake of Rangers' stormy clash with Slavia Prague.

Ibrox star Glen Kamara was the victim of alleged racist abuse from Ondrej Kudela and that incident sparked an exchange of words and led to Steven Gerrard coming out in support of his player.

Slavia then claimed their player was attacked in the tunnel in a bombshell statement overnight that denied Kudela used a racial slur when he whispered in the Finland international's ear.

But a police update insists no incident has been made aware to them in the aftermath of the Europa League action at Ibrox.

It read: "No reports of criminality have been made by either club in connection with last night's match.

"Police Scotland has contacted club officials and assured them should any allegation be received it will be investigated thoroughly"

It comes after UEFA admitted they have received a report that an incident did take place after the game.

They said: "UEFA is aware of an incident which occurred in the tunnel after the end of the match and which involved some players of both teams.

"We are waiting to receive detailed reports of the match officials who were present at the game before commenting further."
