Police Scotland charge Kilsyth man after 'causing fear and alarm' to 10 and 11-year-old girls

A man has been charged in connection with 'causing fear and alarm' to 10 and 11-year-old girls in Kilsyth.

Police confirmed the 36-year-old has been charged following two incidents in the area.

The first took place in Burngreen on Wednesday, March 17 and involved two 10-year-old girls. The second incident took place two days later, in Stirling Road, on Friday, March 19, and involved an 11-year-old girl.

The man is due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court today.

The police released a statement this morning advising: "Police Scotland can confirm that a 36-year-old man has been charged in connection with causing fear and alarm to young girls in Kilsyth.

"The first incident happened on Wednesday, 17 March in Burngreen and involved two ten-year-old girls and the second incident happened on Friday, 19 March in Stirling Road and involved an 11-year-old girl.

"A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and he is due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 31 March, 2021."
