Police scene in Hunslet street after man found seriously injured

Police have cordoned off part of a Hunslet street after a man was found seriously injured last night.

West Yorkshire Police were contacted by the ambulance service who were attending an incident in Royal Court at 7.54pm last night (Monday), where a 29-year-old man was found with a "serious laceration to his arm".

He was taken to hospital for treatment.

A police spokesperson said his injuries are serious but not life-threatening.

A scene remains in place today (Tuesday) and enquiries are ongoing into the incident.

The man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of offences committed earlier this year, including assault and possession of an offensive weapon.
