Police say 'see you soon' after man abandoned car but left phone in vehicle

A driver abandoned a car to run from police but left his phone in the vehicle for officers to find.

The man behind the wheel of a Ford Focus made off from police when officers discovered a car with no insurance in Little Hulton late on Wednesday night.

The man ran away in Falcon Drive, in Salford, but left his phone in the vehicle.

Police have said they will be 'seeing him soon' as they managed to unlock the car and seize it.

In a tweet, Greater Manchester Traffic Police said: "The driver of this Focus clearly didn't want to speak with # XT18 when he abandoned the car and ran off on Falcon Drive Little Hulton.

"Probably due to having no insurance.

"By the way you left your phone in the car... unlocked... car seized # SeeYouSoon "
