Teenager in hospital after stabbing near Ferry Road in Edinburgh

A teenager has been taken to hospital following a stabbing near Ferry Road in the north of Edinburgh.

There was a large police presence around Ferry Road Drive after reports of someone being assaulted around 3.45pm on Monday afternoon.

Several police vehicles and officers were seen on the street opposite the Drylaw shops.

Police Scotland have confirmed an 18-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.

A male 17-year-old has been arrested in connection with the incident. Officers say their inquiries are ongoing.

Ferry Road Drive was closed off as a result.
