Police rush to Paisley Gilmour Street Station after man falls on tracks

Emergency services rushed to Paisley Gilmour Street Station this morning after a man fell onto the rail tracks this morning.

British Transport Police attended the scene after receiving a call about the incident.

The man has suffered an injury to his knee.

A spokesman for the British Transport Police said: "British Transport Police were called at 10.49am to Paisley Gilmour Street station following a report of a casualty on the tracks.

"A man is reported to have accidentally fallen from the platform. He suffered an injury to his knee."

ScotRail confirmed that emergency services were dealing with an incident and that services between Glasgow Central to Gourock/Wemyss Bay were affected.

Trains have now returned to normal.
