Police rush to ongoing incident as man 'holds knife to his throat' at Falkirk Train Station

Cops are currently dealing with an ongoing incident at a train station in Falkirk.

Police have sealed off the area surrounding Falkirk Grahamston amid reports of a man with a knife.

The incident was reported to officers at around 9am this morning.

They have confirmed they remain at the scene and are engaging with the man involved.

Concerned locals took to Twitter after witnessing what was happening.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police in Falkirk responded to Meeks Road at around 8.50am on Thursday 22nd August following report of concern for the wellbeing of a man.

"Local and specialist officers remain in attendance to engage with the man and ensure this incident is resolved safely."
