Police rush to Hamilton accident as man is pulled from under a vehicle

Rush-hour traffic was at a standstill in Burnbank this morning (Wednesday) after a man was knocked over.

Emergency services raced to the scene at the junction of Fullwood Industrial Estate on Burnbank Road at 8.45am.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Emergency services were called to an accident on Burnbank Road at the industrial estate at 8.45am on Wednesday, June 5, where a man had been hit by a vehicle.

“Emergency services were in attendance and removed the man from under the vehicle.

“The road was closed from the Academical Vaults crossroad towards Burnbank Road.”
