Police rush to crash on A77 as Scots costal road closed

Police raced to the scene of a crash on the A77 in Ayrshire earlier.

The road was closed in both directions near the Shallochpark Roundabout in Girvan after a vehicle crashed.

Emergency services were called to the scene around 2pm and are currently still dealing with the ongoing incident.

There is no detail of injuries at this time.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 2pm police received a report of a road traffic collision involving one vehicle at the Shallochpark Roundabout in Girvan. Emergency services are in attendance and the road is closed in both directions".
