Police rush in after reports that 15-year-old boy stabbed in Leeds shop

Police rushed to the scene after reports that a 15-year-old boy had been stabbed.

West Yorkshire Police were called to Dewsbury Road in Beeston at 7.43pm last night, July 6, after the boy had been assaulted by another male.

The victim reported being in the Park Side Shop convenience store next to Cross Flatts Park.

He was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries that were not considered life threatening.

Detectives are continuing to carry out enquiries into the incident today(Tuesday) and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed it or who has any information that could assist them.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Leeds District CID via 101 quoting crime reference 13200338533.

The local neighbourhood policing team has been made aware and is continuing to patrol the area to provide reassurance.
