Police respond to youths throwing stones at passing cars in North Belfast

Police have responded to a group of young people who were throwing stones at passing cars in North Belfast.

Officers attended the scene at Woodvale Park on Saturday and dispersed a group of young people.

After moving the group on, Tennent Street Neighbourhood officers reassured victims of the incident, noting that "no damage or injuries" had been reported.

The park is now quiet, officers added.

In an update posted to Twitter at 11:11pm, PSNI North Belfast wrote: "Tennent Street Neighbourhood officers in Woodvale Park having dispersed a crowd of young people are updating victims after stones thrown at passing cars.

"Park now quiet. Thankfully no damage or injuries but scary nonetheless. Responsibility required all round."
