Police respond to ongoing Renfrew Street 'disturbance'

Police are currently responding to a 'disturbance' on Renfrew Street in the city centre.

Officers were called to Renfrew Street just shortly after 3.30pm after a 999 call was made.

A number of officers and police cars are currently at the scene in the Garnethill area of the city.

While officers are currently still in attendance they have reassured that there is "no threat to the public".

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police were called around 3.50pm on Friday, 2 April, 2021 following the report of a disturbance on Renfrew Street, Glasgow.

"Officers are currently in attendance and there is no threat to the public."
