A boarded-up village pub which has been marked for demolition has been subjected to aggressive behaviour from yobs.
Now, Cheshire Constabulary says police patrols will be stepped up in response to The Limes pub in Sandbach. The pub has a history dating all the way back to the late 1800s, however, it shut down for good three years ago.
Plans have been put in place to knock it down and make way for a 60-bed care home. Before demolition takes place though, police have noted a series of reports of anti-social behaviour taking place at the pub, Cheshire Live reports.

Posting on Facebook, Sandbach Police said: " Further to recent reports of anti-social behaviour at The Limes on Sweettooth Lane, local officers are increasing their patrols in and around the area at key times. Any individuals found to be behaving in anti-social manner will be dealt with appropriately."
In early 2020, The Limes went on the market with a value of £375,000 before being purchased by Newcastle-based Crown Care Group. The company then lodged a planning application with Cheshire East Council back in August 2021 - this is yet to be determined.
The application proposes knocking down the pub and building a 6-bed care home with car parking and landscaping in its place.
