Police report: Aurora woman charged with DUI

Feb. 19--Aurora

Maria Fernanda Rodriguez Lopez, 23, of the 700 block of Calico Drive, Aurora, was charged Wednesday with driving under the influence of drugs, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and several other traffic violations near the 1000 block of Galena Boulevard and Galena Boulevard at Ohio Street, according to Aurora police.

Joshua Akerlow, 22, of the 1700 block of Sunrise Court, Montgomery, was charged Tuesday with the sale or delivery of drug paraphernalia and possession of 30 grams or less of marijuana at Barrington Drive East and Hafenrichter Road, according to Aurora police.

Bernice Ann Boehlen, 35, of the 6000 block of Keokuk Road, Indian Head Park, was charged Tuesday with retail theft in the 3000 block of East New York Street, according to Aurora police.

Adam Cardoza, 28, of the 600 block of Iowa Avenue, Aurora, was charged Tuesday with drunken driving and domestic battery in the 600 block of North View Street, according to Aurora police.

Nancy Hernandez, 34, of the 600 block of North View Street, Aurora, was charged Tuesday with domestic battery at her home address and with possession of 30 grams or less of marijuana in the 1200 block of Indian Trail Road in Aurora, according to Aurora police.

Robert Carey, 53, of McGregor Lane, Naperville, was charged Tuesday with retail theft in the 1200 block of Indian Trail Road, according to Aurora police.

Lewis Clark Garcia, 54, of the 900 block of Fenton Street, Aurora, was charged Tuesday with criminal housing management. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and possession of 30 grams or less of marijuana near his home, according to Aurora police.

Brannon Caleb Mcnair, 29, of the 400 block of River Street, North Aurora, was charged Tuesday with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession or use of weapon ammunition by a felon, and possession of a controlled substance in the 1200 block of North Lake Street in Aurora, according to Aurora police.

Aurora police responded to a residential burglary Wednesday afternoon in the 300 block of South Broadway Street. At the scene, police noticed the glass window to the back door of the building was shattered in a way that would have enabled a suspect to reach inside and unlock the door. A victim told police his 49-inch Samsung Vizio TV, Playstation 3, video games and DVDs, collectively valued at more than $1,700, were missing. A small metal safe containing Social Security cards, birth certificates and other personal documents was also reported damaged, according to Aurora police.
