Police renew appeal for public's help to find missing man

Police are renewing their appeal for the public’s help to locate a man missing from Broxburn since last Monday (August 3).

Shaun Watson (39), who also goes by the surname Payne and also spells his first name as Shawn, was last seen on Church Street between 10am and 11am that morning.

Potential sightings of Shaun have been noted in the Eyemouth and Berwick Upon Tweed areas.

He is described as white, between five feet eight and five feet 10 in height, with a medium build and dark hair, which may have been dyed a different colour.

When last seen, he was wearing cream coloured shorts, a white t-shirt, a black body warmer and cream or white training shoes. He was also carrying a black rucksack.

Officers are continuing to check CCTV footage and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Sergeant Stephen Granger of Galashiels Police Station, said: “Shaun has been missing for some time now and concerns for him are growing.

“We are appealing for anyone who may have seen him of who know of his whereabouts to get in touch with us.”

Anyone with any information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0996 of 4 August, 2020.
