Police release pictures of van in hunt for missing bathroom fitter

Pictures of a van driven by a missing bathroom fitter were issued by police as they stepped up their efforts to try to trace him.

Colin Jones, 61, was last seen at his home in Wirral on the evening of Thursday, February 13.

He left the house in Venables Drive, Spital, and went out in his white Volkswagen transporter van, which bears his name and contact details for his company.

This was later found on Riverwood Road, Bromborough, on Friday afternoon.

Crews from the Wirral Coastguard Rescue Team were joined by colleagues from the Flint coastguard branch to carry out searches on Friday.

Conditions led to the search being suspended until 7am on Saturday, when the search resumed.

Colin is described as a white male, 5ft 10in tall, with a medium build. He has short, straight dark brown hair and is clean shaven. He was wearing a green waterproof jacket, black jeans and brown shoes.

If you have seen Colin, or anyone fitting his description, please DM @MerPolCC, or call 101, quoting log 0498 of 14 February.
