Police release images of two men in connection with racial abuse and assault in city centre

Images of two men have been released by police as part of an investigation into an incident of racial abuse and assault in Glasgow's city centre.

Police Scotland have said they would like to speak to both men in connection with their enquiries in the incident, which occurred in George Square on Sunday, June 14.

A man was assaulted and subjected to racial abuse during the incident, which occurred between 1.39pm and 1.45pm. Officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

There was a heavy police presence in George Square that day as officers responded to hundreds gathering in the city centre for protests.

Anyone who recognises the men in the images is asked to call officers at City Centre Police Station via telephone number 101, quoting incident number 1027 of 14 June 2020. Alternatively information can be given via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where anonymity can be maintained.
