Police release images of three men they want to speak to after attempted armed robbery at Manchester Victoria car park

Police have released images of three men they want to speak to following an armed robbery in the Manchester Victoria station car park.

Two men threatened a woman and her friend with a gun, British Transport Police (BTP) say.

They demanded money. One of them men threatened to shoot them.

Police said the men demanded their cards and pin numbers.

The friends managed to get into a car and lock themselves in, before sounding the horn repeatedly.

The two men ran away, along with another man who detectives believe had been keeping watch.

Police now want to speak to three men pictured in CCTV stills.

They believe they may have information which could help their investigation into the incident, which happened at around 8.50pm on January 9.

Detective Inspector Granville Sellers of BTP’s Major Serious and Organised Crime said: “My team have conducted an extensive investigation into this concerning incident, with a lot of significant work having already taken place.

“We have now taken the decision to release these images to the public in the hope that they can assist us in identifying these men.

“If you recognise them or have any information please contact us by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 2000003561.

"Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
