Police release images of men as part of investigation into robbery and assault

Images of two men police want to speak to about an assault and robbery that left a man with facial injuries have been released by police.

The incident took place on December 18, last year, around 7.15pm at Burrells Lane near to High Street in the city centre.

A man suffered minor facial injuries and had a sum of money stolen.

Officers believe the men pictured may have information of help with their investigation and anyone who recognises them is urged to come forward.

Both men are described as white, early to mid-20s, medium build with short dark hair.

One of the males is seen in the image wearing a blue Nike tracksuit top. The other can be seen wearing a dark grey and green hooded top with dark green jogging bottoms.

Police are appealing directly to the two men to get in touch, or anyone with any information relating to the incident or the men, to contact 101, quoting incident number 3226 of December 18, 2019.
