Police have released an image of a man they want to trace after a woman was raped in Shoreditch.

The victim was in Curtain Road, Shoreditch, on the night of Friday, December 9 and into the early hours of the next day.

Police say witnesses may have seen her with a man in Great Eastern Street, Hoxton Square, Pitfield Street or Old Street.

Detective Constable Thomas Smalley, the investigating officer, said: “We are issuing this image in the hope that someone will recognise this man and provide his details to police or remember seeing him on the night.

“If you can help, please get in contact immediately.”
