Police release image of man found dead in Melbourne reserve

Police have released the image of Coburg man Paul Costa, whose body was found in a designer suit in bushes at a sports reserve in Melbourne's north.

The 43-year-old's body was discovered by a passerby near a trail of blood just after 8:20am on Monday at Dunstan Reserve, off Peacock Street, in Brunswick West.

Mr Costa was wearing an expensive dark Zegna suit, a dark blue T-shirt and black leather shoes when his body was found.

His death is being treated as suspicious.

Homicide Squad detectives have also released a photo of Mr Costa's red 1999 Nissan Patrol, with registration PJJ 199, which has been missing since the weekend.

The four-wheel drive was last seen about 9:00pm on Sunday when Mr Costa left his Coburg home.

Police said they did not have any clues on why Mr Costa was at the reserve.

Detectives want to speak to anyone who may know why Mr Costa was in the area his body was found, or anyone who saw him on Sunday.

Anyone with information has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
