Police have released a computer-generated image of a cyclist who shoved a 70-year-old man on to a pavement, leaving him with serious injuries.
The cyclist allegedly pushed the pensioner over as he was leaving a pub in Mabledon Place, Kings Cross in November 2018.
The 70-year old had spent the early afternoon watching the rugby and had made a passing comment after the cyclist almost struck him in the street, according to the Met Police.
Detective Constable Rob Griffiths, of the force’s Central North Command Unit, described the assault as "unnecessary and violent", explaining that the cyclist, who was riding without lights, returned to push the man to the pavement.
The victim suffered a fractured elbow for which he needed surgery.
Dc Griffiths said: "This was an unnecessary and violent incident which left the victim with serious injuries, requiring surgery and permanent plates to be fitted in his arm.
"Despite extensive inquiries, we have been unable to identify the suspect. We are now appealing for the public to help.”
The suspect is described as white, approximately 6ft tall and of medium build, with short hair and stubble.
