Police release e-fit after man seen exposing himself in south London park

Police have issued an urgent appeal for information after a man was seen exposing himself in a woodland in south east London.

The man was seen passing through Lesnes Abbey Woods in Bexley and walking along paths before reaching the B212 Abbey Road on Tuesday, September 2.

The man has been described as black and 6ft tall with a large, muscular build and very short hair.

Detectives have produced an e-fit likeness of the suspect and any witnesses have been asked to come forward and share information with the Metropolitan Police.

Detective Constable Katie McGinn, who is leading the investigation, said: "We understand the impact hearing about this incident will have on the local community, particularly regular visitors and young families who come to Lesnes Abbey Woods.

"We are determined to identify the suspect and are calling on anyone who frequents Lesnes Abbey Woods to share information.

"Were you in or around the area on Saturday, 2 September? Did you see anything out of the ordinary? Do you remember seeing any individual who looks similar to the e-fit?

"If so, please do come forward. Contact us by calling 101 and quote reference 1915/02SEP."
