Police release CCTV vision connected to investigation into Tewantin house fire where teenagers allegedly assaulted 13yo

Queensland police have released CCTV vision they hope will assist with their investigations following the "deliberately lit fire" that destroyed a Tewantin home in March

Detectives have been working to determine who was behind the arson attack, which occurred while nobody was home and just days after three teenagers allegedly assaulted a 13-year-old at the address

Police have asked anyone with information to come forward, including residents who may have witnessed letterbox drops in the vicinity in the days prior to the suspicious fire.

"Further investigations indicate an unknown group of people distributed offensive and harassing materials via mail in the Tewantin area in the lead up to the arson of the house," a police spokesperson said.

"Investigators believe there may be a link between the three incidents."
