Police release CCTV picture after woman seriously assaulted inside Glasgow flat

Police are appealing for information after a woman was assaulted inside a Glasgow flat.

Officers were called to to a flat on Albion Street in the Merchant City of the city centre after reports of a serious assault.

It is believed that a woman in her 40s had been attacked between 7pm and 12am on Wednesday, August 28, 2019.

Police Scotland have now released an image of a woman they wish to speak with in connection with the incident.

The woman has been described as white, in her mid 20, 5ft 1in tall and with a northern English accent.

She is of large build, has long blond hair and a tattoo on her foot.

Detective Constable Kieran Bewick, of Greater Glasgow’s Public Protection Unit, said: “We believe the woman in the image may be able to help with our ongoing investigation and we are appealing for her, or anyone who may know her, to make contact with us as soon as possible.”

Police would like to speak to this woman in connection with an incident on Albion Street (Police Scotland)

A spokesperson for Police Scotland added: "Those with information can call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1968 of August 29, 2019, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
