Police release CCTV of McDonald's armed robbery suspect

Police investigating an armed robbery at a McDonald’s restaurant in Bridgend have released CCTV stills of the suspect.

Officers are appealing for anybody who recognises him to make contact and assist.

The robbery took place at McDonald’s on Cowbridge Road at approximately 3.30am on Tuesday, July 20.

The suspect (pictured) entered the fast food establishment via a back security door and demanded money from staff while holding a knife and what has been described as a mallet with a yellow handle.

He made off with cash from the restaurant.

Acting Detective Inspector Alethea Fowler, said: "I believe that somebody will recognise the person in the CCTV images and they are urged to make contact."

Anyone with any information can give the reference 254281C and South Wales Police immediately.
