Police investigating damage to a car in North Shields have released CCTV of a man they would like to trace.
At around 5.50am on January 2, a grey Seat Leon was damaged on Wark Avenue in Chirton .
As part of enquiries officers have now released CCTV of a man they would like to speak to.
He was in the area walking his dog at the time of the incident and may be able to help police with their investigation.
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "We appreciate the footage is quite dark but someone may recognise the build or clothing of the man.
"It is also believed the man may routinely walk his dog around this time in the area around Redesdale Road and Wark Avenue, so members of the public may know who he is."
