Police release CCTV of man they want to trace after car and bank cards stolen in Hebburn

Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to trace after a car and some bank cards were stolen from a home in Hebburn.

The burglary at Hollyhock Gardens was reported on January 3 after someone at the address got up to find the door open and a number of items missing, including the bank cards and a black Volkswagen that had been parked outside.

The break-in happened at some point between 9.15pm on January 2 and the next morning when the incident was reported.

An investigation is ongoing and as part of their enquiries, officers have now identified a man they would like to speak to.

He was in a petrol station in Pallion at the same time when one of the stolen bank cards was used and could have vital information that can assist officers.

The man, or anyone who knows him, is asked to call 101 quoting reference 143 030120 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Alternatively, they can email 2947@northumbria.pnn.police.uk.
