Police release CCTV of man after window kicked out on Metro train

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to about criminal damage on a Metro train.

Shortly before 1am on Friday September 4, police received a report that a window had been kicked out on a Metro carriage between Gateshead and Newcastle on the Thursday night.

An investigation was launched and officers have identified a man they would like to trace.

Police have now released the CCTV in the hope the pictured man can be tracked down for questioning.

He was on the Metro carriage at the time and it is believed he may have information that can assist the investigation.

Police wish to speak with this man in connection to damage caused to a Metro (Northumbria Police)

The man, or anyone who recognises him, is asked to contact police via the ‘Tell Us Something’ page of the Northumbria Police website or by calling 101 reference number 100048P/20.
