Police release CCTV in sex predator hunt

Police are searching for two men suspected of sex offences in suburban Melbourne. (AAP)

Police have released CCTV images of two men suspected of sex offences in Melbourne's suburbs.

In the first incident, a 16-year-old girl was walking along Mandowie Road in Glen Waverley on Monday when a man came towards her just after 4pm.

Police say she crossed the road but saw him perform an explicit sex act before she ran away and told her parents.

The suspect is believed to be Caucasian and in his 50s, with short white hair, and was wearing a blue striped polo shirt.

Police are also hunting a man who exposed himself to a motorist before striking her car in Preston last month.

Detectives say the woman saw the man standing in the middle of Gilbert Road on January 5 just after 6pm.

He exposed himself and performed a lewd act then ran up to her car and repeatedly hit it with his hand.

He also followed the car when the woman drove away.

Detectives say the suspect is Caucasian, in his early 30s, slim, with short hair and brown eyes, and was wearing a blue T-shirt with a distinctive design.

Police urge anyone with information about the incidents to contact Crime Stoppers.
