Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to after a woman was sexually assaulted on a London tram in broad daylight.
The assault happened at around 3.40pm on Wednesday October 22 on a tram from West Croydon to Blackhorse Lane.
A man sitting next to a woman during the journey assaulted her around this time, according to British Transport Police.
CCTV images have now been released of an individual police think could have information that may assist their investigation.
BTP said in a statement: “Do you recognise this man?
“Detectives investigating a sexual assault on board a tram from West Croydon to Blackhorse Lane tram stop have released these CCTV images in connection.
“On Wednesday 22 October 2025 at around 3.40pm a man sexually assaulted a woman sat next to him on the tram.
“Detectives believe the man in these CCTV images may have information that could help with their investigation.
“Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016, or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 476 of 22 October.
“Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
