Police release CCTV image of man wearing Rangers shirt after flashing incident on bus

Police have released a CCTV image of a man wearing a Rangers top following a flashing incident on a bus.

Officers launched a probe following the report of an indecent exposure at around 9.50am on Wednesday May 18. The incident happened on a bus travelling through the town centre in St Helens, near Liverpool.

Passengers on the bus were said to be left "shocked and upset" by the "horrific incident", reports the Echo. As part of their ongoing enquiries, local police have now issued an image of a man who they say may "have information to help their investigation".

Inspector Laura Leach said: "Incidents such as these can cause real distress to any victim and are completely inappropriate. Everyone should be able to use public transport and feel safe.

"Our informant was left shocked and understandably upset by this horrific incident and did the right thing in contacting us. While some months have passed since the incident, any information you hold could be vital to our enquiries.

"If you recognise the man pictured then please let us know, as we believe he may hold information vital to our ongoing investigation. If you were on 21 the bus at around 9.50am on Wednesday, May 18 or recognise the man then do let us know as any information you hold could support our enquiries."
