Police release CCTV image of man they wish to trace in connection with robbery

Detectives have released an image of a man they wish to trace following a robbery which occurred in the Motherwell area.

Around 1.25pm on Sunday, September 6, a bicycle was stolen at Wood Crescent.

Detectives believe the man in the image may be able to assist with their investigation

The man is described as white, 20-30 years old with short dark brown hair. He can be seen to be wearing a dark grey hooded top with luminous yellow stripes down the full length of the arm, light grey jogging trousers and light blue Nike trainers with a white tick.

Detective Constable Craig Wait, of Wishaw CID, said: “Officers have been carrying out enquiries in the local area, and gathering CCTV footage, in respect of this incident.

“If anyone recognises the man in the images, or saw someone matching his description, I would ask for them to get in touch as we believe he may have information that can assist our enquiries.

“Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting reference number 3986 of 6th September 2020. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”

Any information should be passed to detectives at Wishaw Police Office.
