Detectives have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident.

Investigators are appealing to anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image to come forward.

Detective Constable Karen Benson, of GMP’s City of Manchester division, said: “No one should be subjected to such a terrifying attack, and we have been carrying out numerous enquiries since this incident to find the person responsible.

“We are now appealing for the public’s help in identifying the person in this photo as we want to speak to him in connection with what happened. Please get in touch if you think you might know him.”

Anybody with information about the incident should contact police on 0161 856 1146, or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
