Police release CCTV image of a man after car is stolen during broad daylight burglary

Police have released a CCTV image after a car was stolen during a broad daylight burglary in Bolton.

The home in Forton Avenue, Breightmet, was targeted at about 1.30pm on Tuesday.

Officer say a man entered the home before stealing several items, as well as a grey Vauxhall Insignia, which was parked on the driveway.

The vehicle had the registration HN63 SKV.

A man in his 40s was inside the home at the time of the incident but was not injured.

A CCTV image of a man police want to speak to has now been issued by police.

He is described as a white male in his late teens, with short dark hair.

Officers say he was wearing a blue tracksuit hoodie, blue tracksuit bottoms and black trainers with white souls, and carrying a black shoulder bag at the time of the burglary.

GMP shared the image on social media on Wednesday afternoon while issuing an appeal for witnesses to the incident.

Anyone with information should call police on 0161 856 5761 quoting incident number 1976 of 28/01/2020.

Alternatively, information can be passed on to the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
