Police release CCTV image after man left with serious facial fractures following 'nasty assault' in Nottingham city centre

Police have released CCTV images of people they would like to speak to after an attack left a man with a fractured eye socket and cheekbone.

Investigations are ongoing into the assault which reportedly happened in Friar Lane, Nottingham city centre.

The force said that the 18-year-old victim was punched to the face before he fell to the floor at around 1.30am on June 26.

Detective Constable Aiden Rowton, from Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a nasty assault which left the victim with serious facial injuries.

“Lines of enquiry are ongoing into this matter to identify those responsible.

"Detectives are working hard on this case and would like to speak to anyone who may recognise any of the people pictured as they may have vital information which could help with their enquiries.”

Anyone who was in this area around the time and saw what happened or anyone who may have CCTV, dash-cam or mobile phone footage of the incident is also urged to contact police.

Anyone with any information should call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 54 of 26 June 2021, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
