Police release CCTV footage of three people they want to speak to after arson attack in Trafford

Police have released CCTV footage of three people they want to speak to after a 'reckless' arson attack in Trafford.

A house on Bradfield Road in Stretford was set alight and the blaze spread to the roof of a neighbouring property.

Children were in the house next door at the time, police said.

Fire crews were called to the scene at around 6pm on Saturday, May 1, though it's believed the fire was started around an hour earlier.

No injuries were reported, but 'extensive damage' was caused to both properties, police said.

Officers are treating the incident as arson and an investigation is underway.

No arrests have been made.

Detectives have now released CCTV footage of three people to want to speak to in connection with the arson attack.

Detective Constable Rachel Di Nicola, of GMP's Trafford district, said: "This was a deliberate act which recklessly endangered people's lives, including children who were present in the neighbouring property at the time of the fire.

"This behaviour will absolutely not be tolerated in Greater Manchester and we are following all available lines of enquiry to identify those responsible.

"As part of our enquiries we have released CCTV footage of three individuals who we want to speak to in connection with this incident.

"If you recognise any of these individuals, or have any information that could help us with our investigation, please contact police as soon as possible."

Anyone with information should contact police on 0161 856 7674, quoting incident number 2252 of 01/05/2021.

Reports can also be made anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
