Police release CCTV after thefts and people convinced she's TV character

Police are hunting this suspected thief accused of stealing food from doorsteps - with locals claiming she looks like This Country's Daisy May Cooper. Wiltshire Police are investigating eight different reports of theft of various items from doorsteps in Swindon.

The force has received reports of food and drink - such as bottles of milk, orange juice and yoghurts - being taken from outside properties in the Old Town area. The thefts have occurred in The Mall and The Marlestones.

People have been commenting on the police's social media post claiming the CCTV photo looks like This Country's protagonist Kerry Mucklowe. One said: "Is that not Kerry from This Country?

Another added: "Isn’t that Kerry Mucklowe?" One posted: ''Kerry Mucklowe gone down hill. Seems the pyramid scheme she had didn’t go well."

Wayne Wheatley said: ''It's Kerry Mucklowe'' Ben Ashley Francis said: ''Is that not Kerry from this country.''

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We have released a CCTV image of a woman we would like to speak to following a spate of thefts in Swindon. So far we have received eight reports of bottles of milk, orange juice and yoghurts being stolen from doorsteps in Old Town, specifically The Mall and The Marlestones.

“We are trying to identify the woman pictured below as part of our enquiries, and would ask anyone with information to call us on 101, quoting crime reference 54220025164. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
