Police release CCTV after stolen credit card used for Eldon Square shopping trip

Do you know this woman?

Northumbria Police has launched an appeal to help identify a woman they would like to trace following a burglary.

Officers received a report of a break-in at an address on Sycamore Avenue in South Shields which occurred between 8pm on December 22 and 4pm on December 23.

It was reported that an offender had broken into the house and stole a credit card.

The card was later used by an unauthorised individual to purchase goods in stores in Eldon Square, Newcastle.

An investigation was launched immediately after the incident and police have now identified a woman they would like to speak to in connection with the offences.

She was seen in the same shop where the stolen card was used in Eldon Square and could have valuable information that can assist our enquiries.

The woman, or anyone who recognises her, is asked to contact the force via the ‘Tell Us Something’ page of the Northumbria Police website.

Alternatively you can call 101 quoting log 603 241220.
