Police release CCTV after Leeds McDonald's headbutt attack leaves man needing metal plates in his face

West Yorkshire Police have released CCTV images of a man they think will be able to help with inquiries following a headbutt attack in Leeds city centre McDonald's.

The incident left a 29-year-old male needing metal plates inserted into his face.

It occurred in the Briggate branch of the chain restaurant around 4.20am on Monday, May 27.

The victim was taken to hospital where he was found to have fractures to his nose and cheekbones that required surgery to insert metal plates.

According to police, the suspect was wearing a distinctive top with camouflage patterned sleeves.

Anyone who recognises him or who has any information that could assist in identifying him is asked to contact PC 306 Stephanie Van Loo at Stainbeck Police Station via 101 quoting crime reference 13190268474 or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
