Police recover two vehicles after Leeds theft

Officers from West Yorkshire Police Roads Policing Unit recovered two stolen vehicles taken in a 'Hanoi burglary' in Leeds in the early hours of Tuesday morning (August 31).

Assisted by the force's Firearms Unit, officers pursued one of the vehicles before performing a sting and bringing it to a stop in Cartmell Drive in the east of the city.

The second car (pictured below) was located nearby, police said.

A 'Hanoi burglary' (also known as a '2 in 1 burglary') is where a vehicle is taken during a house burglary, often carried out with the explicit purpose of obtaining car keys.
