Police recover two stolen bikes and a car from abandoned building after tip off

Police have recovered three stolen vehicles from an abandoned building after receiving a tip off.

Officers from the Leigh neighbourhood policing team headed down to a disused building in Atherton after a phone call from a member of the public.

When the police arrived, they found three vehicles - a white Land Rover Discovery, and two motorcycles - which had been stolen from their rightful owners.

Officers have been able to recover all three of the vehicles, which will be returned to their owners when possible.

Greater Manchester Police's Traffic division shared pictures of the find on their Twitter page.

A post accompanying the photos read: "A phone call to the Police lead to the discovery of 3 stolen vehicles in the Atherton area in a disused building.

"Stolen Range Rover & two motorcycles.

"Great find & now all recovered."

Any suspicious activity can be reported to the police by calling 101, by visiting GMP's website.

Alternatively, the independent charity Crimestoppers, can be contacted anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
