Police recover man's body after being called to Scots golf club

Police have recovered the body of a man at a Scots golf club.

Cops made the grim early morning discovery after being called to a club by Perth's Tay Road, understood to be King James VI golf club, at around 3.40am.

They have confirmed a 48-year-old man has been found after a call of concern was issued and his death is not being treated as suspicious.

A heavy police presence was seen at the Moncreiffe Island near Perth this morning.

A police spokesman said: "Around 3:40am on Tuesday July 7, police received a concern for person call and attended at a golf club in Tay Road, Perth.

"Officers attended and the body of a 48-year-old man was found. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
