Police recovered a huge knife while out patrolling in Bolton.
Officers made the alarming discovery while searching around the Bolton Interchange on Monday (March 15).
It came as part of a sweep looking for potential weapons or threats to passengers.
A spokesman for GMP Bolton West said: “B relief Transport Unit have visited Bolton Interchange tonight.
“Part of our patrols responsibilities is to sweep areas for potential weapons or threats to passengers.
“We will think the best and hope a chef dropped this on way home."
