Police recover gun and drugs from Lothian home in huge crime crackdown

Police have revealed that a gun, drugs and other stolen property were recovered from a house in West Lothian as part of an ongoing operation against serious crime.

Officers executed a warrant at an address on Mosside Drive, Blackburn after a series of break ins in the Broxburn area that they believed to be related.

On July 24, teams raided the property where they discovered the dangerous items.

A 37-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court today (Monday 27 July).

Detective Inspector Nick Brookfield, based at Livingston CID, said: "Enquiries are ongoing to establish any further potential criminality.

"This police activity was carried out as part of Operation Rampion which targets acquisitive crime in the local area such as theft, fraud and robbery.
