Durham Police's Roads Policing Unit recovered a BMW following a pursuit around Ferryhill late at night.
Once the luxury car had been brought to a stop, both occupants of the vehicle were detained and arrested for various offences.
Police posted news of the incident in the early hours of Sunday as they resumed their patrols in County Durham.
